Every phase will have a different time commitment: 

Phase One: Mentor Training (March - May 2026): 3-4 hours per month

Phase Two: Friendship Circles (June 2026 - February 2027): 5-6 hours per month (small groups of 5-6 participants and one mentor)

Phase Three: YLG 4 (in-person): Attend the seven-day Younger Leaders Gathering in Brazil, leading your Friendship Circle in daily meetings and accompanying your group throughout the gathering week. An additional day of mentor training will take place immediately before YLG 4.

Phase Three: YLG 4 (virtual): Participate in the five-day virtual Younger Leaders Gathering and lead your Friendship Circle in daily online meetings. Virtual mentors will be present throughout the gathering week to guide, encourage, and support their group.

Phase Four: Post-gathering mentoring journey: Continue walking with younger leaders through ongoing mentoring relationships. The time commitment—such as how often you meet with your mentee or Friendship Circles—is determined by the mentor.

During the application process, mentors may indicate which phases they are available to serve in.
