Onsite Participants
If an onsite participant cancels their registration, the following refund policy applies:
On or before 16 September 2026:
A refund will be issued, less a non-refundable down payment of $49 USD.On or before 16 November 2026:
A refund will be issued, less $200 USD.On or before 16 February 2027:
50% of any amount paid beyond $200 USD will be refunded.On or after 17 February 2027:
No refund will be issued.
Virtual Participants
If a virtual participant cancels their registration, the following refund policy applies:
On or before 16 September 2026:
A refund will be issued, less $49 USD.On or before 16 November 2026:
A refund will be issued, less $75 USD.On or before 16 February 2027:
50% of any amount paid beyond $100 USD will be refunded.On or after 17 February 2027:
No refund will be issued.
Payment Fees and Refund Processing
Any bank, credit card, or currency conversion fees incurred are non-refundable and must be covered by the participant.
Refunds will be issued to the original account or card used for payment.
The refund process may take several days, depending on the payment method.
Participants will be contacted within five (5) business days with an update on their refund status.
Participation Changes (Onsite to Virtual)
Where possible, onsite participants who are unable to attend in person will be encouraged to join the invitation-only virtual experience and switch tracks accordingly.
Participants who choose to switch to the virtual experience will be refunded the difference between the onsite and virtual requested contribution amounts, in line with this policy.
Special Cases
Visa Refusal
If a participant is refused a visa to attend YLG 4 and can demonstrate that the visa application was submitted in reasonable time:
The participant will be invited to attend the virtual experience and refunded the difference in the requested contribution amount, should they choose to participate virtually.
If the participant declines the virtual experience, 100% of the contribution amount paid will be refunded.
Proof of visa refusal is required.
Additional Costs
Lausanne Movement is not responsible for refunding any costs related to flights, accommodation, or other expenses incurred outside the YLG 4 registration.
